Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress who was born November 19 1959. Her appearances on screen and stage have been praised over her long career. Janney was the winner of several awards. These include the Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and several others. Also, she received 7 Primetime Emmy Awards. There were also nominations to win the two Tony Awards. Janney was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and was raised in Boston. Her scholarship allowed her to learn in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she completed her studies at Kenyon College. Janney began her TV debut in 1999, playing C. J. Cregg as a character in the political drama NBC's The West Wing (1999 to The West Wing from 1999 to) in which she was awarded 4 Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was honored with her Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actor in a Drama Series, after her performance in the role of Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex. Janney received two Outstanding Supporting Actress Awards for Comedy and was also nominated six times for Primetime Emmy Awards.
